Gubernatorial Hopeful Kari Lake Rallies to a Raucous Standing-Room-Only Crowd in Scottsdale

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona – A gubernatorial rally in Scottsdale for Kari Lake Monday night featured a long list of celebrities leading up to the former newscaster, who all spoke along her theme of “stand for freedom.” Lake’s plain-talking style had the audience standing and cheering as she declared, “We’re going to finish the wall!”

She hammered California, vowing to never let Arizona become a “California 2.0.” She said California “is the leftists’ dream.”

“California was once heaven and now it’s hell.” She declared, “Keep that California crap away from me!” to roaring applause. Lake lamented how the Democrats’ “dead-end policies have brought blue states to their knees.” She warned that “the left wants to rip us to shreds.”

She told the packed crowd, estimated at 1,500 according to the emcee, “I cannot be bought. I owe zero favors to anybody when it comes to politics.” She didn’t hesitate to criticize others running against her in the primary, including former Congressman Matt Salmon, who she referred to as “a recycled politician looking for another pension.”

Strong themes throughout the evening were Christian values and standing up to the misinformation about COVID-19. Brandie Barclay, a life coach, told the crowd, “God never told us to conform or comply, he told us not to comply to this world.” She went on, “Why would God tell us to be ready for battle if we’re just supposed to sit around and play nicey-nicey?”

Rae’Lee Klein, an ASU student who was famously fired from her position as a reporter for the student radio station The Blaze for tweeting a New York Post article about Jacob Blake’s past accusations of sexual assault, told her story of how she sued ASU and won. She thanked God, saying “he doesn’t call the equipped, he equips the called.”

Another broadcaster who also famously left the mainstream media over bias just like Lake spoke at the rally, April Moss. Moss announced on air two weeks ago that she would reveal discrimination by WWJ CBS Detroit to Project Veritas, which was how the station covered COVID-19. The station fired her.  Moss told the crowd, “Not on my watch,” she could not allow “medical tyranny in my country.”

Businessman Jim Lamon, who is running for U.S. Senate, talked about the values of his company. His construction company buys a large percentage of American made products instead of “cheap Chinese crap.” He vowed if elected that he would not let any legislation pass his desk until the border is secure.

Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, known for refusing to enforce COVID-19 lockdowns on the grounds they are unconstitutional, said the border issue is no longer about immigration, “It’s about human trafficking and drug trafficking.” Pinal County is a known corridor between Phoenix and the Arizona-Mexico border for those.

The Right Side Broadcasting Network taped the event, with the audience cheering as the emcee announced that RSBN was just suspended from YouTube for broadcasting former President Trump’s rally in Ohio. Trump’s official channel was suspended from YouTube in January.

The same Keri Lake that said she’s not concerned with what’s going on with the AZ audit? Enough with the RINO’s already. #VotetheBumsOut!
